Lil'Beanies did our very 1st BP!

Oct is a busy month for us. We had our very first bulk purchase held specially for mommies and mommies-to-be from Singapore Motherhood forum. The response was great! We had more customised orders that asked for new pillow sizes, new font types for name personalisation, new type of name personalisation, etc... and we even have orders from overseas!

So while the orders are not overwhelming, it was a small success that we would like to celebrate and to remember. We would like to thank all our customers for their great support!

We'll be back for more in the new year 2010, with new fabric, new level of customisation and personalisation to deliver one-of-its-kind unique beanie for your lil'ones... so stay tuned!

Lil-Precious Is Back!

Hi everyone,

Personally, I had to take almost 2 months off to focus on my lil'precious - my newborn baby boy, who arrived on 24 May 2009.

Since then, it's been a whirlwind, thus, I had no choice but to leave Lil'Precious for the time being.

We'll like to thank everyone who had made enquiry during these past 2 months, some were even willing to wait till now when we can resume the production of customised beanies and apparrels for them. To our great customers, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your kind understanding and patience.

Good news is - We are back in business!

Specially for Baby Caitlyn

We are proud to be have the opportunity of doing something special for Baby Caitlyn, who's now with her Dad and Mum overseas in Taiwan. Caitlyn's mum, Christina, who became a great pal of mine during the course of working with her, is there with Caitlyn's Dad on his overseas assignment.

Baby Caitlyn gets the pink polka pillow set - one for her head positioner, one for lying across her chest. Thanks to her thoughtful mom, she gets the best of what a bean sprout pillow can offer!

Baby Caitlyn will not make it back in time for delivery, she will be born in Taiwan - so that makes her our first overseas baby :)

All pillows by Lil-Beanie are 100% hand-made - and that include cleaning and drying of bean sprout husk, selection of fabrics and hand-sewn of pillows. Therefore, Lil-Beanies are just like the traditional bean sprout pillows handed down from Granny! Our fabrics are 100% cotton and child-safe.

Bean Sprout Pillow - Healthy Pillow for Baby

Babies are prone to being frightened by sudden movements and noises around them. According to old tradition, bean sprout pillow, when laid on babies' chests, can give babies a strong sense of security as they will would being cuddled in their mummies' arm or even in the womb!

Other benefits of bean sprout pillows includes:

Head Positioner

As advised by our older generation, all babies should sleep upright instead of to the sides, so that they will have a better head shape. Instead of using expensive pillows and baby merchandise, you can adjust the pillows by having the bean sprout husks stacked to both side of pillow, leaving the center hollow for baby to rest his head. That will keep the baby in upright sleeping posture.

Positioner

As new borns tend to wriggle from side to side, the bean sprout pillows can act as a positioner to anchor the baby properly by laying it across the baby's chest. This will prevent the baby from moving side to side.

The story of Lil-Precious

How it all began...

Lil-Precious started as a passion for my own little precious, my first baby son due in May 09. Being the first time mum, I want to do everything special for my lil'prince when he arrives - from his clothing to nursery, toys, etc. I figured, what better way to make him feel really special than to have things that are custom and hand-made for him. Things that truly come in exclusivity.

From there, I started customising his basic apparels, his first romper, jump suit, hat and mittens.

Some friends saw it and really like them so I began doing the same for them, as gifts.

So now, without any official launch to this new venture, I am opening up to requests from new mummies for their special ones, or friends whose friends are becoming new parents. Having personalised gift set makes those proud parents feel even more special!
